This ground floor flat needed to be transformed quickly with the desire of more storage, sense of  space and serenity. Time and budget were tight constraints on the project. Redundant chimneys had to stay and instead we had to come up with solutions to incorporate them into the design. Existing openings were enlarged without having to install any steelwork. Bespoke wardrobes were not an option so instead we designed a system of adapted Ikea units installed by carpenters on site. Introducing grooved panels over joinery and walls in poor condition and employing the same colour palette throughout linked the spaces creating a calm, airy feel throughout the flat.
