This was a complete refurbishment of a flat in the roof of a Grade II listed former Power House built in the late 19th century to generate electricity for the London United tramways Company.

The narrow two storey space was opened up and the ceiling raised with the creation of clerestory windows where once the original ventilation steel louvers for the Power House were located. A new steel staircase and balustrade share the aesthetic of the exposed steel trusses.

The flat was designed as the client's pied-a-terre and to house his collection of West African art.
