A tired, neglected Victorian house was completed refurbished and extended. A collection of odd rear extensions were replaced with one large family kitchen with 3m high sliding doors opening onto the garden. The polished concrete floor conducts the warmth of  underfloor heating and takes all a family of six can throw at it. The cedar cladding, wood faced island and wood burner add texture and warmth to the clean lines of the kitchen .
