Our client for this project had invested in a property close to a new Crossrail station. They wanted to convert this large house into premium quality rental units as a long- term investment. We carried out a feasibility study for a pre planning application and with the council’s support converted the house to 3 large flats and demolished the rear outrigger and built a new self-contained house. The house was in a very poor state and very damp. The construction programme was a 12 month refurbishment and new construction combined. Architectural features were re-instated as only the Victorian hall tiles survived the project. The kitchens and bathrooms specified reflect the period building . The living spaces have been reconfigured with larger interconnecting rooms that offer flexibility for future inhabitants while maintaining elegant proportions.
