Ealing Common

Located on a disused parking lot site within a conservation area this project was commissioned by Ealing Council.

Scope

Concept design

Planning Permission for a three bedroom house

Ealing council sold the sit at auction

Although the plot was just 182 m2 in size a large front garden with parking was maintained and an enclosed rear courtyard was designed to provide light and privacy deep into the house.

The street exhibits a high visual character of pitched roofs, red brick facing and grey roof slates.

These three elements were used in our scheme and carried into the landscape with the perimeter garden wall enclosing a west facing private front garden.
