This project is sited on a family homestead in Connecticut. The main house dates from the mid 17th century with a later constructed barn on granite foundation. The view to the back is down through trees and the Connecticut river beyond.
The brief was to situate an annex for another family member. A new barn will become this annex. The old barn was carefully dismantled and rebuilt down the road in a sugar bush. The existing granite foundations were kept and a new dwelling constructed by a local contractor during the year 2015.
